A Massachusetts man was arrested in Connecticut after he failed to move over for a police vehicle, leading the authorities to believe he was intoxicated. It happened at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12 in the Windham County town of Killingly, according to Connecticut State Police. Philly Teen's Killer Spotted At Hookah Bar Before Slaying, Police Say
The gunman who killed a teen near a Frankford hookah bar last month was spotted on video patronizing the bar just before the killing, according to city police. The shooting happened on the 4100 block of Torresdale Avenue just before 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 4, Daily Voice reported. Man Dies After Being Struck By 2 Cars On Capital Region Highway
Police are investigating after a man was struck and killed on a busy highway in the region. The crash happened at around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, on I-787 in Albany. A preliminary investigation found that a Ford sedan was attempting to merge into traffic on I-787 at Exit 2 when they unknowingly struck a pedestrian, according to New York State Police. The victim, a 67-year-old man, was then run over by a second vehicle and died at the scene, troopers said. Authorities did not release the man’s name or hometown. Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Car In Fairfax County May Have Been Drinking, Police Say
Authorities have identified a 37-year-old pedestrian who they say may have been drinking when he was struck and killed by a vehicle this week in Fairfax County. Khalid Magan was trying to cross Baron Cameron Avenue around 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, when he was struck by a Ford F-250 heading west, county police said. The community is rallying to support the family of a 55-year-old man who was struck and killed after his car broke down along the Garden State Parkway. Robert Piel Sr. of Bayonne "had a heart to help those he could," according to a GoFundMe set up to pay funeral costs. Ford is recalling 238,000 of one of its best-selling SUVs over concerns that a defect could increase the chance of more crashes, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced.
