State officials are warning New York residents, visitors and farmers about the continued importance of taking measures to protect against ticks, as a new tick species has been found in the state. County Executive George Latimer is the fifth straight Westchester County Executive to have graduated from Fordham, a Jesuit university in The Bronx. Every Westchester County Executive since 1974 has been a Fordham graduate, starting with Alfred Del Bello and continuing with Andrew O'Rourke and Andrew Spano.
