Havin Morris, age 21, of Pleasanton, California, a student at West Point in Orange County in the town of Highlands, drowned on Monday, March 25, while on leave in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

A man was seriously injured when a car crashed into a truck overnight on the Long Island Expressway, according to authorities.
It happened around 1:35 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28 in Dix Hills.
Koray Kurulgan, age 30, was operating a 2005 MINI Cooper eastbound on the expressway, near Exit 52, when the vehicle crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer that was parked on the right shoulder, Suffolk County Police said.
