20-Something-Year Olds Hospitalized In Somerset Crash That Closed Road For 8 Hours
Two people in their 20s were hospitalized with serious injuries in a crash that closed a Somerset County roadway for eight hours overnight, authorities said. A Lexus UX was heading south on Easton Avenue when it crossed over the double center line, and crashed into a BMW M6 going north on Easton Avenue around 12:45 a.m. in Franklin Township Saturday, Dec. 31, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. NJ Bank Robber 'Crazy Mike' Hid From Cops With Family's Help: Prosecutor
An accused bank robber nicknamed "Crazy Mike" evaded police for nearly three months with the help of family members, according to officials. Michael Gaboff, 36, of Millstone, was arrested in connection with the robbery of a Franklin Township bank on Aug. 22, said Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald in a release Monday, Dec. 12. A 53-year-old ex-convict admitted possessing fentanyl and weapons, authorities said. Anthony Johnson, of Bridgeton, pleaded guilty in Superior Court on Thursday, Nov. 17 to an indictment charging him with the unlawful possession of fentanyl and certain persons not to possess firearms, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. An Easton man was intoxicated when he crashed into a tree in Warren County and fled into a nearby farm with two others, state police allege. Troopers responded to a Honda Accord crash into a tree at Routes 632 and 643 in Franklin Township just after 1:20 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, NJSP Tpr. II Charles Marchan told DailyVoice.com. Child Struck, Driver Arrested In South Jersey Hit-Run Crash
A 51-year-old driver from Glouchester County was charged in a hit-and-run crash involving an 11-year-old pedestrian. The victim was taken to Cooper Hospital and is in stable condition. The boy was walking along the 500 block of Oak Avenue in Franklin Township at about 7:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9 when he was hit by a passing vehicle, according to Franklin Township Police. Paul Mensch, of Malaga, was charged with assault by auto and released on a summons pending a court appearance. Police said they recovered evidence belonging to the vehicle at the scene and obtained surveillance video.
