Mangia! Popular Italian Market Livoti's Opening New Location On Jersey Shore
An Italian grocery store known for gourmet meats and other delicacies is opening its first location in Ocean County. Livoti's Old World Market said it will open its newest store in Brick Township on Thursday, Mar. 7. The store will be located in the Laurel Square shopping plaza on Route 88. This will be the fifth market for Livoti's, which started in 2010 with its first store in Aberdeen. The other three markets are in Monmouth County in Freehold, Marlboro, and Middletown. Here's Who Got The Most Snow In South Jersey From Winter Storm
Some parts of South Jersey received more than half a foot of snow during a pre-Valentine's Day winter storm. The National Weather Service said snow stopped falling in the region at around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13. While it wasn't as much as North Jersey, plenty of communities saw significant accumulation. Adele Springsteen, the mother of New Jersey rock and roll icon Bruce Springsteen, has died, according to the musician. Bruce Springsteen said his mother died at 98 years old on Wednesday, Jan. 31. The National Weather Service has released snow totals from the latest winter storm. In New Jersey, the most amount of snow from the Friday, Jan. 19 storm appears to have fallen in Hopewell Township (Cumberland County) and Mount Royal (Gloucester County), where 6.5 inches of snow were reported. Atlantic County: Dorothy, a section of Weymouth, got 6.4 inches, the most amount of snow across Atlantic County. Authorities have identified the pedestrian who was killed in Freehold on Tuesday, Jan. 9. A spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said 61-year-old David Belcher was hit by a pickup on Route 9 South. No hometown for Belcher was given as of Thursday, Jan. 11. Freehold Township police responded to the crash a few hundred feet north of the Route 9 interchange with New Jersey Route 33 just after 5:30 p.m. Officers found Belcher lying in the road and he was pronounced dead at the scene. A 29-year-old mechanic was killed over the weekend when an RV slid off jack stands and crushed him at a New Jersey garage, authorities said. The unidentified mechanic from Freehold was working at GasTime on West Commodore Boulevard in Jackson around 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, when the vehicle came off the jack stand and down on him,Jackson Police Chief Matthew Kunz said.
