One person was killed and two people were injured in a two-car crash on the early morning of Sunday, July 9, authorities said. Police responded to a two-car crash on U.S. Route 1 and 9 North and McClellan Street at 3:24 a.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. A 3-year-old child is in stable condition after he was abducted in Newark on Tuesday, July 4, authorities said. At 9:03 a.m., police responded to Arlington Street at William Street, upon a report a man assaulting a woman and then stealing her car, while her 3-year-old child was inside, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. A man's body was recovered from the Passaic River on the morning of Thursday, June 15, authorities said. At 8:06 a.m. police responded to the 700 block of Raymond Boulevard/Riverbank Park on a call of a body in the Passaic River, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
