Two Brooklyn men were captured and charged with four Kay Jewelers burglaries and one at Nordstrom in Paramus that netted more than $250,000 in valuables, ending a nine-month spree that authorities said stretched from Central Jersey to Albany. Paramus and NYPD detectives teamed up to nab Gerald Williams, 45, and Tony Newton, 56, ending a spree that they said began in January. A Spirit Halloween store will be opening at the former Best Buy at the Garden State Plaza. The store has not yet announced an opening date and only says "coming soon" on the website. Bergen Town Center Construction Paves Way For New Stores, Restaurants
The Bergen Town Center is about to get even bigger. The 61-year-old Paramus mall will soon boast several new retailers, restaurants and even more parking. A new report in NorthJersey.com said shoppers can expect a Burlington discount department store, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Express clothing store and a two-level parking structure. Garden State Plaza Best Buy Announces Moving Date
The Garden State Plaza will only be home to Best Buy for two more weeks. Then, it's off to Bergen Town Center. Best Buy will be switching locations on Saturday, April 14, into a brand new facility across from Bergen Town Center, according to a sign posted inside the store. Store officials said shopping will be easier at the new store because the sales floor will be on the same level. The Garden State Plaza has not yet announced what will be replacing Best Buy.
