'Nip Hunt' Captures Almost 50,000 Littered Bottles Over Weekend Tens of thousands of littered nip bottles were picked up over a weekend citywide cleanup and “nip hunt.” All in all, a group of volunteers picked up almost 50,000 littered miniature "nip" liquor bottles in Gardner on Saturday, Oct. 3. The hunt was sponsored in part by Anthony’s Liquor Mart, which put out a “bounty” on the tiny liquor bottles during the event - 5 cents per nip.  Owner James Kraskouskas said he paid out just under $2,500, according to the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. People Involved In Gardner Murder-Suicide Identified A Gardner man and woman who died in an apparent murder-suicide on Saturday, Aug. 8, have been identified. Migdalia Perez, 47, and Jose Munez Badillo, 49, were identified on Aug. 10 as the victims, said the Worcester District Attorney’s Office. The two were found at Perez’s Central Street apartment building. Badillo lived on Prospect Street. Police were called to the apartment building at around 4:30 p.m. and discovered Perez and Badillo in a hallway outside the apartment. Witnesses reportedly heard a man and woman arguing before the shooting.
