Explosion Kills One At South Jersey Truck Repair Shop
One person was killed when a home heating oil truck exploded Wednesday, June 15 in South Jersey, officials said. The explosion occurred around 10:40 a.m. at Timberline Services on Swedesboro Road in Harrison Township, Harrison Township police said. Leni Fortson, regional director of OSHA, confirmed that her federal agency had sent an inspector to investigate the report of a death. A Gloucester County school district was closed Friday, June 3 after a threat was made against the high school, officials said. Classes in the six-school Monroe Township Public Schools were canceled with police present at Williamstown High School. In an announcement to the school district, Superintendent of Schools Susan B. A 68-year-old man from Gloucester County has been charged with murder after running over a pedestrian after an earlier fight with his van, killing him, NJ Advance Media reported. Giovanni Esposito, of Paulsboro, had previously hit the victim with his van, and told authorities he intended on killing him the next time he saw him, the outlet said citing an affidavit.
