A man from Cos Cob has been charged with assault after police say he choked and punched a victim in Greenwich. Greenwich Police say they responded to Greenwich Hospital on a report of an assault around 12:45 p.m. on Monday, July 15. Further investigation revealed that the incident occurred at a residence on Harbor Drive, police say. A Greenwich motorist has been charged after police say she crossed the double-yellow line. Greenwich Police say they were on patrol in the area of Horseneck Lane between Field Point Road and Arch Street when they observed a vehicle traveling east and crossing over the painted double-yellow line into the westbound lane of travel on Thursday, July 4 around 3 a.m. Officers initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Martha Maduro, 47, of Greenwich. A man is facing charges after police say he hit a medical technician and security guard at Greenwich Hospital. Greenwich Police say they responded to Greenwich Hospital (5 Perryridge Road) on Saturday, June 8 around 1 a.m. after receiving a report of a male patient who was fighting and had become a security threat. A 31-year-old man was arrested for allegedly selling drugs to a person who later overdosed on heroin. Parker Ross of Riverside turned himself in to Greenwich Police after being notified of an active warrant for his arrest in connection with the event that took place on Saturday, Oct. 20, said Greenwich Police. Westchester Man Threatens Hospital Staff Members, Police Say
A Westchester man was arrested after becoming belligerent and threatening staff members at Greenwich Hospital, police said. The incident occurred on Friday, May 25 in the nurse's station in the oncology department, according to Greenwich Police. Steven E. Wortham, 49, of White Plains made several verbal threats that caused the employees to fear for their safety, police said. Police charged Wortham with breach of peace. He is due in court on June 8.
