Fingerprints Lead To Arrest Of Man Who Stole SUV, Darien Police Say A 26-year-old man was arrested after investigators allegedly found his fingerprints on a car stolen out of Fairfield County last year, police said. In February 2021, it is alleged that New Haven County resident Kelvin Solares, of Hamden, stole a car from Miles Road in Darien, launching a lengthy investigation once the 2015 Ford Explorer was recovered a week after it was stolen. Police Officer Involved In CT Crash A Connecticut police officer received minor injuries during a two-car crash. The crash occurred in New Haven County when the Hamden officer was involved in a crash with another car around 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 11, in Hamden. The crash took place at the intersection of Evergreen Avenue and School Street, said Det. Sean Dolan, of the Hamden Police Department. The officer and driver of the other vehicle were both transported to the hospital with minor injuries, Dolan added.  There were no other passengers in the vehicles. The crash remains under investigation.
