The checks took place in the Southampton area on Saturday, Aug. 19 at numerous locations. The operation was carried out by the Southampton Police in conjunction with the State Liquor Authority. Officers received a report of a crash in Hampton Bays at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8, the Southampton Town Police Department reported.
