Muggy Heat Advisory For Burlington, Mercer Counties
Burlington and Mercer counties are under a heat advisory Wednesday as temperatures are expected to break 90 degrees for the first time this year. The humidity will make it feel like the mid-90s, according to the National Weather Service. Due to sunny and muggy conditions, the NWS in Mount Laurel issued the heat advisory warning from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. for northwest Burlington as well as all of Mercer, Camden and Gloucester counties. Lines Of Severe Thunderstorms Sweeping Through Area
This story has been updated. Lines of scattered, severe thunderstorms are sweeping through the area from west to east. Some of the storms, first spotted late in the afternoon on Sunday, Aug. 18, are packing winds up to 60 miles per hour. Brace yourself for another heat wave, New Jersey. The National Weather Services has issued a heat advisory for parts of Passaic, Hudson, Union and Bergen counties from noon Sunday to 8 p.m. Monday.
