Union County Town Is Most Affordable New York City Suburb, Website Says
Living in the 'burbs comes with a hefty price tag these days. Hillside is a an exception, according to a new report by Realtor.com. The website ranked the 11 most affordable places to live outside the big city, ranking the Union County borough at the top. Realtor.com looked at ZIP codes in the 11 largest metropolitan areas and considered crime rates, rush-hour commutes more than an hour long. Then, the site ranked the reamining ZIPs by median home listing prices from April 2018 to March 2019. Elizabeth Man Killed In Hillside Crash Leaves Behind Young Son
A fundraiser has been started for the Elizabeth man who was killed when his car slammed into the back of a tractor trailer in Hillside last week. Uzodimma N. Oguh, 39, died early on the morning of April 22 when his car slid under the truck as it was pulling into a McDonald's parking lot on Rt. 22. The roadway was closed for several hours. Family and friends are now raising funds to help with funeral and other costs for Oguh, whose survivors include his toddler son Luke. Donations can be made via GoFundMe here.

Rogue Rockland Moving Companies Fined
Two unlicensed moving companies from Rockland were snagged in a New Jersey undercover sting that cost them $2,500 each, authorities announced Monday. Big Men in Trucks from Sloatsburg and Enterprise Van Lines from Congers each has the option of seeking mitigation or requesting an administrative hearing to contest the violation and civil penalty, New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir S.
