The 57-year-old pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk on North Maple Avenue at 1st Street when she was struck around 7 p.m. by a red sedan that then kept going north on Maple, Ho-Ho-Kus Police Chief Christopher Minchin said. The esophageal cancer diagnosis came for Bob Allison, a father of six, in July. “The primary tumor was about 4.5 cm,” according to the Glen Rock PBA. “There was a smaller 4 mm tumor in the upper esophagus, and a few cancerous lymph nodes.” Initial chemotherapy rounds weren’t effective. A female resident was hospitalized with smoke inhalation during the three-alarm blaze, which was called in around 4:15 a.m. and sent flames shooting up through the walls, severely damaging the Walnut Street home, Deputy Fire Chief Tom Loreto said. Born in Ridgewood, Scott grew up in Ho-Ho-Kus and graduated from Midland Park High School in 1990, his obituary says.  He attended Ramapo College where he played baseball, and continued playing in other Bergen County leagues later on. Scott lived in Fair Lawn before moving to Mahwah. He enjoyed sports games (Cowboys, Mets and Devils, particularly), traveling with his wife, Erin, and all-things music related, the obit says.
