Police are seeking to public's help to identify human remains that were found on Long Island. A 911 caller reported finding the skeletal remains in a wooded area of Southards Pond Park in North Babylon, south of Sunrise Highway, on Feb.15, 2023, at approximately 1 p.m. Following an investigation by Homicide Squad detectives, the cause of death was determined to be non-criminal in nature. Two teenagers were shot, one of whom was killed, during a shooting at a party on Long Island overnight. The incident happened around 9 p.m. Friday, March 22 in Bay Shore. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 8:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 26 in the 100 block of Denver Avenue. Long Island Man Dies After Driving Off Dock In Port Jefferson
A man pulled from the water was pronounced dead after authorities say he drove off a dock on Long Island. The incident happened around 7:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16 in Port Jefferson. He was operating a vehicle on West Broadway at the Port Jeff dock when he suffered an apparent medical emergency and drove into the water, Suffolk County Police said.
