Man Found Dead In Swimming Pool At Fire Island Restaurant Police are investigating the death of a man found unresponsive in a restaurant swimming pool on Fire Island. A 911 call to police Thursday evening, July 4 reported that the man was found unconscious in the pool at around 7:05 p.m.  Marine Bureau officers responded to Canteen at Fire Island Pines where they reportedly found Carlos F.
