Arrest Made In Beating Death Of Bridgeport Homeless Man
Police have arrested a Bridgeport man for the alleged brutal beating death of a homeless person.
The assault took place in Bridgeport around 9:15 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 11, in the 800 block of Fairfield Ave., said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport.
When officers arrived, they found the victim, 49-year-old Daniel Engeldrum, suffering from a head injury. Endgeldrum, who was homeless, was taken to Saint Vincent’s Hospital, where he died from his injuries two days later, on Friday, Jan. 13, Appleby said.

Maryland Midnight Murder Victim ID'd, Suspect At Large, Officials Say
Police are on the lookout for a suspect after a Glen Burnie man was murdered, authorities say.
Police discovered Matthew Anthony Ponder, 27, after he had been shot multiple times inside of a home in the 400 block of M Street North East around 2:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Despite life-saving efforts by officers and fire department personnel, Ponder was pronounced dead at the scene.

2 Nabbed In Bridgeport Double Homicide Carried Out From Back Of Scooter
Two men have been charged in a drive-by double homicide in Fairfield County that was carried out from the back of a scooter.
The arrests took place in Bridgeport on Wednesday, Aug. 10, exactly one month from the date of the murders.
Jahmir Daniel, age 18, of Bridgeport, and Jack Vaz, age 19, also of Bridgeport, were arrested by Bridgeport Police for the murders of 32-year-old Ramon Peguero, of Hartford, and Kazzmaire Dorsey, age 18, of Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested in a 2019 killing, authorities in Prince George's County announced.
Troy Cleveland, Jr., of District Heights, is charged with shooting 46-year-old Sean Spence of Capitol Heights on Nov. 20, 2019, police said.
On November 20, 2019, at approximately 7:30 pm, patrol officers were called to the 5700 block of Rollins Lane where they found Spence outside with multiple gunshot wounds. He died a short time later.
