Oradell Ex-Con Admits Robbing Mahwah, Edgewater Banks, More
An Oradell man admitted in federal court Wednesday that he robbed banks in Edgewater and Mahwah – one of them with help from his girlfriend -- as well as an out-of-area bank, gas station and liquor store. Joel Robbins, a 47-year-old Tenafly native, was caught after he pointed a fake gun at two tellers at a TD Bank on Route 17 in Mahwah on Dec. 3 and demanded money, warning them not to “make me have to kill you,” authorities said. DWI Driver Charged After BMW Crashes Into Hudson Valley House, Killing Two
A drunk driver was charged with four counts of aggravated vehicular manslaughter in connection with a November crash into a home that killed two people, according to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Christopher Perrella, 32, of Vernon, N.J., was arraigned Tuesday in connection with the deaths of two women who were passengers in a BMW that Perrella had been driving and crashed into a house in Warwick on Nov. 4, the DA's Office said. PATERSON, N.J. — Brian Petronaci originally of Paterson died suddenly on Jan. 7. He was 39. Brian grew up in the Oak Ridge section of Jefferson Township, and graduated from Jefferson Township High School, where he played football. He moved to Hopatcong 17 years ago to be closer to Lake Hopatcong, where he loved to spend time boating and enjoying activities year-round.
