The death of a track coach and social studies teacher at a high school in Northern Westchester on Tuesday has been ruled a suicide, according to the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Matthew Ketterer, 36, a social studies teacher at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, was found by New Canaan police on Tuesday when they responded to a home on Route 106 (Old Stamford Road). Less than a week after the Chappaqua Central School District Board of Education announced that Horace Greeley High School Principal Robert Rhodes will resign from his job, a successor has been appointed. A 36-year-old track coach and social studies teacher at a high school in Northern Westchester has died. The death of Matthew Ketterer, a member of the faculty at Horace Greeley High School, was announced in an email from the Chappaqua Central School District. The Chappaqua Board of Education announced that Horace Greeley High School Principal Robert Rhodes will resign from his job by the end of this month. School Board members accepted Rhodes' resignation during a special meeting on Friday, June 22 at the district’s Education Center. The Horace Greeley High School Debate Team of Krishna Ramaswamy, Claire Weis, and Dorothy Low recently won the 2017-2018 High School Parliamentary Debate Program Championship event held at Rim of the World High School in Lake Arrowhead, Calif.
