First responders in Rockland County dealt with a difficult house fire that broke out in the ceiling of the home. Fire crews in Ramapo from the Hillcrest, Tallman Volunteer, and Monsey Fire Departments responded to a home on Ridgeway Terrace in the Village of Wesley Hills on the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 1, where there was a report of a smoke condition inside the residence. Dog Dies After House Fire Breaks Out In Hudson Valley
A dog died after being caught in a house fire that broke out in the Hudson Valley. Crews in Putnam County from the Mahopac Falls Fire Department responded to the blaze early on Sunday, Aug. 30 when smoke was seen coming out of a house on Lake Shore Drive in the Lake Secor neighborhood. A severe thunderstorm triggered multiple house fires and downed trees in Monmouth and Ocean counties Wednesday morning. A church was struck by lightning in Little Egg Harbor Township, and trees struck at least two homes on the 100 block of Hickory Lane in the Lincroft section of Middletown. An occupant of a Long Island home suffered burn injuries after a house fire broke out. Emergency responders rushed to the scene around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8 on Grant Street in South Farmingdale, where the house was fully engulfed in flames, Nassau County Police said. A fire that began Tuesday morning in an unattended oven all but destroyed the upstairs apartment of a two-family house in Lyndhurst, authorities said.
