Suspect In Violent Bayonne Robbery Arrested A Bayonne man has been arrested in connection with a robbery in the city April 15, police said.  Elijah Cook, 20, was charged with robbery Friday and was being held at the Hudson County Jail.  Police say Cook was one of a number of people who attacked a 25-year-old man on a city street April 15 and robbed him of personal items. Cook removed the victim's cell phone from his pocket, police said.  The victim suffered facial injuries and was treated at Bayonne Medical Center.

Bayonne Man, 65, Pulled Gun On Neighbor: Police An argument between neighbors last week escalated, resulting in an arrest Wednesday, Bayonne police said.  The two men, who know each other, began arguing in a common hallway of a multifamily home Saturday morning. One of them, Gerald Ponce, 65, returned to his apartment during the dispute and came back out with a .38-caliber revolver, which Ponce allegedly pointed at the other man. No one was hurt.  Ponce has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was being held at the Hudson County Jail.

Police Charge Man In Brutal Attack On Bayonne Dog A 22-year-old Bayonne man has been charged in connection with the beating of a woman's dog in her home March 27.  John A. Cedano was being held at the Hudson County Jail on two counts of animal cruelty, Lt. Eric Amato of the Bayonne Police Department said Monday.  "Biggy," a 10-year-old cocker spaniel, had sustained a black eye, liver damage, burns  and other injuries. The attack occurred in the home of his owner, Iris Charles, while she was at work, she told investigators.  Biggy was still under a vet's care this weekend.
