An unexpected 200-pound piece of jetsam emerged from the depths of the Hudson River and washed onto the shores of a Northern Westchester park, fire officials said. A 200-pound propane tank was found on the shores of Croton Landing Park in Croton-on-Hudson on Friday evening, July 28, the village's fire department announced. After being notified of the tank, department members were able to lift it from the beach and bring it to dry land. An investigation is ongoing after a female was found dead near a marina overlooking the Hudson River. On Sunday, July 30, at approximately 2:45 p.m. in Rockland County, the body was found in the water near the boat launch at the Nyack Marina. Police are investigating after a body was found in a river in the region. The discovery was made Wednesday afternoon, July 12, in Rensselaer County, along the Hudson River in Troy.
