: Driver Tending To Disabled Truck Struck By Sedan In Boonton, Injured
A tractor-trailer driver was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries he sustained while tending to his disabled vehicle on the shoulder of Route 287 in Boonton, New Jersey State Police said. The driver was in the roadway was placing reflective markers around his truck when he was struck around 11:40 p.m. Friday night, Trooper Alejandro Goez said. The 58-year-old Hackettstown driver of the Hyundai Elantra that struck him remained at the scene and was not not issued a citation as of Tuesday morning, police said. Sebastian Martinez Gaviria and Sabrina Acosta of Bergenfield were only minutes into their trip to North Carolina Sunday morning when their lives were cut short. The 22-year-old friends, who both graduated from Bergenfield High School in 2015, were standing outside their crashed car after it hit the divider on westbound Route 80 in Paterson when they were struck and killed by a sedan driven by a Morris County woman, responders said. Driver Hospitalized After Sedan Slams Into Ridgewood Utility Pole
RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- A young driver was hospitalized Monday afternoon after her new sedan slammed into a utility pole in Ridgewood. An ambulance took the woman to Hackensack University Medical Center after the crash in the 400 block of Linwood Avenue. Her injuries didn't appear life-threatening. The 4-door 2018 Hyundai Elantra Limited had to be towed. Village police, firefighters and EMS responded, along with a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood and a PSE&G crew that assessed damage to the pole. Boyd A.
