An 18-year-old Mount Olive resident died nearly a week after a Route 46 crash that injured him and four others, according to Morris County officials and the victim's relatives. Man, Woman Face Charges After Cocaine Found During Struggle With Troopers, Police Say
A man and woman are facing charges after being combative with New York State Police troopers and attempting to dispose of evidence during a traffic stop in the Hudson Valley. Troopers from the Ellenville barracks in Ulster County stopped Sullivan County resident Symone Quinones, age 29, of Monticello, on Route 52 in Wawarsing after she committed multiple traffic violations in the area. More Than 500K Hyundai, Kia Vehicles Being Recalled For Backward Turn Signals
Hyundai and Kia are recalling more than 550,000 vehicles in the US that may have turn signals that flash in the opposite direction of what the driver intended. The recall includes some Hyundai Sonata models between 2015 and 2017; Hyundai Sonata gas-electric hybrids produced in 2016 and 2017; and Kia Sedona minivan models between 2015 and 2017. A 51-year-old Plainfield man was sentenced to five years in state prison in connection with a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a 12-year-old boy in 2019, authorities said Monday. Bryant D. New York State Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed a vehicle and fire of a gray 2021 Hyundai Sonata that left one dead in Stony Point to come forward with any information. The crash was discovered around 2 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16, on the Palisades Parkway southbound at Exit 16 in the town of Stony Point, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
