Trio Nabbed With More Than 23 Pieces Of Mail, Packages In Fairfield County Traffic Stop
Three men, two from Fairfield County, have been arrested for allegedly stealing mail from throughout the area.
Victor Mejia-Gonzalez, 30, of New York City, Jorge Guerrero-Melendez, 21, of Bridgeport, and John Delos Santos, 22, also of Bridgeport, were arrested on Saturday, Oct. 31, a warrant in connection with a traffic stop on Tuesday, May 5, said Darien Police Sgt. James Palmieri.
The incident began when officers were responding to the report of two suspicious males seen running in a yard on Casement Street, Palmieri said.

ID Released For Man Shot In Vehicle Who Died During Crash On Way To Hospital
A 21-year-old man who was shot in the head and neck while sitting in a vehicle in Bridgeport and then died following a crash on the way to the hospital has been identified.
Leogiovanni Fernandes Spencer, 21, of Bridgeport, has been identified as the man shot around 9:21 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, when two gunshots were fired on Gem Avenue near Whitney Avenue, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.
Spencer was shot in the head and neck while seated in a vehicle, and the vehicle's driver fled the scene, attempting to take the victim to the hospital, Jones said.
