As the number of flu cases rapidly increased across Connecticut over the past weeks, the number of deaths has also risen to eight in the week ending Jan. 12. Two New Flu Deaths Reported In Connecticut
Two flu-related deaths were reported in the first week of the year, along with the news of the illness being widespread across the state. According to a report from the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the two new deaths bring the number this flu season to a total of six. Of the six deaths, four were people over 65-years-old, one between 50-years-old and 64-years-old and one between 25-years-old and 49-years-old, the report said.
