Caroline Avenue will be closed to through traffic now and until water damage has been repaired. On July 20, town officials announced that Caroline Avenue from Elm Street to Harrington Avenue will be closed while damage from a July 17 water main break is fixed.

: Roadway Closed In Toms River
A roadway in Ocean County that collapsed due to a large sinkhole.is closed to all traffic, police said. On Monday, the sinkhole opened up on Windsor Avenue, Toms River police said. The Municipal Utilities Authority and SUEZ are currently working to repair it, police said on Tuesday afternoon. Windsor Avenue, between League Road and Garfield Avenue will remain closed until repairs are complete, police said, warning the public to avoid the area. RETURN FOR UPDATES

Belleville Bridge Closed For Road Repairs Monday, Police Say
The Belleville Bridge over the Passaic River connecting Rutgers Street in Belleville and Kearny and North Arlington is closed for repairs Monday, North Arlington police confirmed. The department sent out an alert Monday morning. North Arlington police told Daily Voice the bridge was closed for road repairs and is expected to be open by 4 p.m. Monday. The state Department of Transportation could not immediately be reached Monday morning, but in an online alert also said the bridge was expected to re-open by 4 p.m.

Video: Water Main Break Causes Road Closure In Ramapo
A water main break in Ramapo caused damage to a busy roadway and forcing its closure. Forshay Road is closed between Parker Boulevard and Grandview Avenue in Ramapo, the police department announced early Friday afternoon, Aug. 9. According to police, the water main break caused the road to buckle, leaving a large crevice in the turning lane. The roadway is closed as Suez makes repairs, and motorists in the area have been advised to seek alternate routes.

UPDATE: Overnight repairs had to be made on a hole that opened on westbound Route 80 in Woodland Park after a drainpipe pipe below it collapsed. Monday night rush-hour traffic was backed up to the George Washington Bridge. A water main break has closed a major Beacon roadway for at least the next several hours, Beacon Police said. The break at 388 Fishkill Ave., has closed the road for a long stretch from Blackburn Avenue to Prospect Street, police said around 9:45 a.m. Thursday, March 28.
