Four Charged In Killing Of Woman Found In Trunk On Long Island
Four men have been arrested in connection with the killing of a woman found dead in the trunk of a car on Long Island.
The NYPD identified the victim as Nazareth Tamir-Claure, age 44, of Queens, who formerly lived in Hewlett.
Tamir-Claure was found in the trunk on Wednesday, April 14, after police officers watched four men load a wrapped object into the trunk, the NYPD said.
The officers followed the vehicle and conducted a car stop in the vicinity of Nassau Expressway and Bayview Avenue in Inwood, said the NYPD.

A Long Island man has been arrested for DWI Leandra's Law after allegedly hitting another vehicle and leaving the scene with children in his vehicle.
Julio Cesar Portillo, age 50, of Inwood, was arrested around 10:40 p.m., Tuesday, April 13, after Nassau County Police responded to the area of 679 Rockaway Turnpike in Lawrence for a crash in which the vehicle left the scene, said the Nassau County Police.

Two men have been arrested for an alleged robbery and assault on Long Island following an auto crash.
According to detectives, police responded to an auto accident with a disturbance at 7 Alvin Place around 6:10 p.m., Thursday, April 1, in Inwood, said the Nassau County Police.
