A 37-year-old man was arrested after allegedly making terroristic threats and attempting to set a vehicle on fire at a Long Island home.
William Witcher, of Far Rockaway, Queens, was charged at an area hospital after Nassau County Police responded to a home on Bayview Avenue in Inwood around 3:15 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 13, on the report of a disturbance, police said.
According to detectives, when officers arrived on the scene, they found Witcher standing next to the victim’s vehicle.

A man and woman were found dead on the shoreline of Far Rockaway beach Tuesday, July 9, after another person they were with called the police for help.
The couple, Keylon Ramsay, 28, and Umarie Chamble, 25, both of Inwood, were found around 10:20 p.m., in the area of Beach 9th Street and Seagrild Boulevard, after police responded to a 911 call from the third person, said the NYPD.

Westchester Man, 28, Stabbed, Killed Outside Family's Food Store, Police Say
A 28-year-old Westchester man was found stabbed to death in front of his family's food store in upper Manhattan.
The incident took place around 8:01 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, in front Dyckman Kwik Stop at 201 Dyckman St., Inwood, said the New York City Police Department.
Police responded to a 911 call for a stabbing and found Mohamed Awadah, of New Rochelle, with a stab wound to the chest, the NYPD said.
He was rushed to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead, they added.
