Bicyclist Struck, Killed By SUV In Island Park A 65-year-old man riding a bicycle was killed after being struck by an SUV on Long Island. The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. Monday, July 8 in Island Park, Nassau County Police said. The man was riding his bicycle westbound on Emerson Place when he was struck by a 2015 Ford Explorer, which was traveling southbound on Austin Blvd, according to detectives.  The man suffered multiple trauma injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead by a staff physician, police said.
