The Suffolk County Crime Stoppers have offered a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man who allegedly stole assorted groceries from the Islandia Stop & Shop on Vets Highway. Investigators with the Suffolk County Police Department are attempting to track down the man, who allegedly shoplifted the groceries at approximately 4 p.m. on March 23. Women Tried Stealing Carts Filled With Food At Islandia Stop & Shop, Police Say A reward is being offered for help in finding two women who allegedly tried to take two shopping carts filled with groceries from a supermarket in Islandia. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the women they say attempted to steal two shopping carts filled with groceries from Stop & Shop, located at 1730 Veterans Memorial Highway, on Feb.7 at approximately 8:10 p.m.  The total value of the merchandise was approximately $1,234, according to Suffolk Police.
