18-Year-Old From Westchester Stabs Another Teen During Fight At Mall, Police Say
An 18-year-old from Westchester is behind bars after stabbing another teen at The Mall at Bay Plaza. The incident took place around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday at the Mall at 2276 Bartow Ave., in the Bronx, said the New York City Police Department. The injured teen was found lying on the ground of the mall parking lot with a stab wound to the upper left arm by officers Sean Liscoe and Alyssa Petrucelli, the NYPD said. An SUV crashed into a parking garage wall, temporarily shutting down a bulk of the parking garage and hospitalizing five at the Mall at Cross County in Yonkers. Shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, a Nissan Pathfinder struck a boundary wall head-on in the garage, officials said. Man Rushed To Hospital After Shooting In Westchester
Police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting in Westchester that sent a man to the hospital. A man was shot on South 2nd Avenue in Mount Vernon on Friday morning and transported to the Jacobi Medical Center, officials confirmed. Firefighters had to use a unique rig to rescue a Starbucks employee who had fallen through an open grate in the floor and ended up in the basement. The incident took place Friday afternoon at the Starbucks on Palmer Avenue in Larchmont, said Larchmont Fire Chief John Caparelli.
