The investigation into a shooting last month in Westchester led to multiple charges for a suspect with a history of weapon, assault, and robbery arrests, police announced.
In the early hours of Saturday, Oct. 30, officers from the Mount Vernon Police Department responded to a stretch of East First Street, where they found a 37-year-old man from Tuckahoe with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

Man Charged With Boating While Intoxicated After Vessel Hits Rocks, Injuring One, Police Say
A Westchester man was arrested for operating a vessel while intoxicated after the boat he was operating ran aground on rocks, injuring one person.
Kurt Getz, age 33, of Rye, was arrested on Wednesday, June 16, by the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department after they responded to a vessel in distress after receiving a report from the Larchmont Police of receiving multiple reports, said Mamaroneck PD Lt. Mark Gatta.

IDs Released For Saw Mill Parkway Teen Double-Fatal Crash Victims
Two teens have been identified after an early morning crash on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Westchester.
The crash took place around 12:45 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 25, on the southbound Saw Mill near Rumsey Road, in Yonkers, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police.
Ali Alghaithi, age 17, of Manhattan, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene at 1:06 a.m., Feb. 25, O'Leary said.
