Retiring Jefferson Police Chief's 'Leadership, Sharp Wit' Will Be Missed Dozens of law enforcement officers and community members gathered outside of Jefferson Township's police headquarters Friday to bid farewell to Chief William Craig, Jr., who retired after 30 years of service in the department. Capt. Sean Conrad, who will soon be sworn in as the department's new chief, said Craig's "leadership, diplomacy and super-sharp wit" will be missed. Craig attended the Morris County Police Academy in 1989.
