Employee Stole More Than $1K From Jefferson Valley Mall Store, Police Say
An H&M employee at the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown Heights was busted after allegedly stealing more than $1,000 from his employer. Investigators from the Yorktown Police Department were alerted on Aug. 20 from H&M that an employee had been making fraudulent return transactions and placing the money on gift cards without authorization. Man Caught With Crack In Jefferson Valley Mall Parking Lot, Police Say
A 60-year-old man in a suspicious van was busted with crack cocaine in the Jefferson Valley Mall parking lot in the middle of the day, police said. A plainclothes police officer from the Yorktown Police Department approached the van in the parking lot at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Aug. 1, when he said he saw Mahopac resident Robert McGuigan “acting in a suspicious manner.” Officers approached the vehicle for further investigation, police said. A police canine helped break-up an alleged heroin deal outside the Jefferson Valley Mall. An officer from the Yorktown Police Department who was conducting a business check of the mall at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Thursday night reported that he saw “suspicious drug activity” by several people standing near a parked car. A teenager has been charged with stealing hundreds of dollars from her employer at the Jefferson Valley Mall, police said. Shortly after 6:45 p.m. on Monday, May 7, investigators from the Yorktown Police Department received a call from Macy’s with a report of an employee who had been detained for a larceny complaint.
