A pair of drivers whose vehicles struck utility poles in Wyckoff days apart were both drunk – as was another who had her lights off as her Porsche drifted back and forth across northbound Route 208, authorities said.

Wayne Police: Unsteady Drugged Motorist Slams Car Into Mailbox, Shatters Windshield
A Pequannock motorist was under the influence of some type of drug – or drugs – when his car slammed into a mailbox in Wayne, shattering part of his windshield, police said.
Officer Robert Sova found Andrew Treible, 29, “having a hard time standing without support, with slurred speech,” after the 3 p.m. crash Friday at Packanack Lake Road and Newark Pompton Turnpike, Detective Capt. Laurence Martin said.
Treible “admitted ingesting legal prescription drugs,” after which the officer found a vape pen containing THC oil, Martin said.

A Rutherford driver was drunk when his pickup truck hit two parked cars -- one of which clipped a pedestrian -- before it jumped the curb, careened across a lawn, took down a fence, struck a tree and kept going, authorities said Wednesday.
A police officer found the damaged 2017 GMC pickup a block away and took Ed McClary, 56, into custody around 9 p.m. Sunday, Capt. Patrick Feliciano said.
The 52-year-old pedestrian -- who was standing between her car and another -- was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with broken bones before being released after treatment, Feliciano said.

Elmwood Park PD: DWI Driver Bails, Caught After Hitting Parked Cars
A drunk driver with a suspended license bailed out of his BMW after it hit two parked cars in Elmwood Park overnight but was quickly caught by borough police, authorities said.
Charles Crosby, 30, also had an open container of alcohol in the 2002 Beamer when it struck the two vehicles on Locust Street around 1:20 a.m. Saturday, Police Chief Michael Foligno said.
