First Responders Called To Crash Closing Route 1 In Mercer County EMS, firefighters and police were responding to a crash which trapped at least two people late Friday afternoon, authorities said. First responders were called to Route 1 at Franklin Corner Road in Lawrenceville about 4:30 p.m. Route 1 was closed in both directions. The company said in an earnings statement Thursday it plans to close 63 of about 100 nonprofitable stores.
