East Patchogue Drunk Driver Had Infant In Car At Time Of Bust, Police Say
A 29-year-old man was busted driving drunk with an infant in his car on Long Island, police said.
Envey Garcia Zambrano, of East Patchogue, was stopped by Nassau County Police after committing multiple vehicle and traffic law violations on Parsons Avenue in Freeport shortly after midnight Thursday, March 20, police said.
Officers initiated a traffic stop near Lakeview Avenue, and saw that Zambrano had glassy eyes, slurred speech, and smelled of alcohol, according to police. After reportedly failing a field sobriety test, he was arrested without incident.

Elizabeth Maldonado, 34, allegedly punched her husband during an argument at a restaurant in Mineola on Sunday, Jan. 12, at approximately 11:10 p.m., police said. A man has been accused of driving drunk after an overnight Long Island crash hospitalized his young daughter.
It happened around 9:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 in Rocky Point.
Suffolk County Police say the man was driving a 2017 Jeep Cherokee eastbound on Lower Rocky Point Road, when the vehicle veered left at the intersection of Hagerman Landing Road, left the roadway, and crashed.

A Long Island man has been accused of driving drunk with a child inside an SUV overnight.
The incident happened around 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, in Riverhead, in the area of East Avenue and East Main Street.
Upon investigation, the operator of a 2012 GMC Acadia, identified as Tony Garcia-Rivera, age 25, of Shirley, was found to be intoxicated and had a 15-year-old girl inside of his vehicle, the Riverhead Town Police Department said.

An unlicensed Long Island woman has been accused of driving drunk with two children in the SUV after an overnight crash, police said.
The incident happened on Sunday, Aug. 11, just after midnight in Levittown.
According to the Nassau County Police Department, officers responded to Flamingo Road after a report that a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee had hit an unoccupied parked vehicle.
