Two owners of a dog boarding facility in upstate New York are facing criminal charges after 21 dogs were found dead.
Washington County deputies were called Sunday, Aug. 24, to Anastasia’s Acres Dog Boarding on Allen Road in Argyle for a report of deceased animals, the agency said.
Investigators determined that the facility’s owners, Robert Palulis, 48, and Anastasia Palulis, 38, failed to provide adequate water and ventilation, resulting in the deaths of 21 dogs, according to police. Another dog required medical treatment.

Jose Rodriguez, 49, of Glen Cove, was charged after a victim reported that Rodriguez inappropriately touched him starting in 2016 when he was 10 years old, the Special Victims Squad said in a release.
The abuse allegedly continued until the boy was 13. On Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, Rodriguez walked into a Dunkin Donuts where the victim now works. After Rodriguez left the store, the victim contacted police, detectives said.

A York chiropractor who admitted to secretly filming undressing female clients—one of them a minor—has been sentenced to jail, according to court records.
Tyler Grego Mitcheltree, 29, of York Haven, was sentenced on Wednesday, Aug. 21, to serve one to two years in York County Prison on a felony child pornography conviction. He was also sentenced to two years probation on 21 counts of misdemeanor invasion of privacy, to be served after his release, court records show.
