Drones Banned Over Another 9 NJ Towns: Here's Where
New Jersey skies are tightening up yet again. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has clipped the wings of drone operators in nine more towns, expanding its already hefty "No Drone Zone" list. The FAA’s move, announced Monday, Dec. 30, comes in response to a spate of drone sightings near "critical New Jersey infrastructure," as previously reported by Daily Voice. Four Roselle residents were indicted on Wednesdy, Dec. 5 with dealing fentanyl in Linden, authorities said. Christine Cintron, 25, Tyron Dieujuste, 32, Xavier M. Padilla, 26, and Juanita Padilla-Jacobs, 43, were arrested on Thursday, Oct. 3 following the seizure of approximately 280 grams of Cocaine, a quantity of Xanax and Ecstasy, $6,280.00 in US currency, and nearly 400 Fentanyl pills made to look like Oxycodone during a search warrant, Linden police said. Authorities have released the identities of both the pilot who survived and the passenger who died in a small plane crash that shut down Interstate 684 at the border of Fairfield, CT and Westchester, CT counties for hours. A 25-year-old Newark man was stabbed outside a bowling alley in Linden on Friday, Nov. 8, authorities said. At 6:10 p.m., officers responded to Linden Lanes at 741 N. Stiles St. and found the victim, Linden police said in a release. The man had been involved in an argument with a co-worker, Easkon Walker, a 44-year-old Elizabeth man, police said. A 19-year-old Linden resident was killed in a crash in Roselle on Halloween night, authorities said. A 49-year-old pilot from New Jersey was killed in a plane crash in Savannah, GA last weekend, officials announced. 2 Dead, Driver Seriously Injured In Route 1 Linden Crash
Two people were killed in a crash overnight on Route 1 in Linden, authorities said. A 2013 Infiniti Sedan was heading north when it struck a tractor-trailer turning left onto S. Stiles Street from the southbound lanes around 3 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, police said. One of the passengers was pronounced dead at the scene.
