3 Hospitalized After Car Strikes Pole In Hudson Valley Three people were taken to a hospital following an early morning crash in the Hudson Valley.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Saturday, Feb. 3 just before 4:30 a.m., when a car crashed into a pole on Croton Falls Road in Mahopac near the Westchester border, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  Three people involved in the crash were taken to a hospital to be evaluated, firefighters said. The cause of the crash was not released.

Fire Tears Through Yorktown Residence Amid Dense Fog, Rain Firefighters endured rain and heavy fog while battling a blaze at a Northern Westchester residence that left the home damaged.  The fire broke out on Wednesday, Jan. 24 around 6:30 p.m., when flames ignited at a residence in Yorktown in the area of Hardwood Place and Hanover Street.  With the help of mutual aid from departments from Croton-on-Hudson and Mahopac, firefighters were able to bring the fire under control and put out hot spots.  The response to the blaze took several hours. The cause of the fire was not released.

Car Loses Wheel In Crash On Hudson Valley Road: Here's Where A one-car crash left a Hudson Valley road briefly closed as fire crews responded to the scene. The crash happened in Putnam County on Monday, Jan. 22 around 4:30 p.m., when a vehicle crashed in the area of Buckshollow Road and Astor Drive in Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  The driver of the vehicle refused medical attention once first responders arrived at the scene.  The crash caused the road to close for just over a half hour as crews worked to remove the damaged vehicle, which lost a wheel. The cause of the wreck was not released.
