A Virginia woman’s alleged Walmart shoplifting stunt ended with her stripping off stolen clothes, exposing herself to employees, and scratching a police officer in the face before being hauled off in handcuffs, authorities said.
Monica Patricia Andrade, 44, of Manassas, was arrested over the weekend, after officers were called to the Walmart on Liberia Avenue around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, according to Prince William County Police.

An animal cruelty investigation is underway in Virginia after a dog was found abandoned and near death outside a Manassas animal clinic, authorities said.
On Monday, Aug. 25, at 10:49 a.m., Animal Control responded to the Battlefield Animal Clinic on Sudley Road after staff discovered a severely emaciated dog left in a cage at the side of the building, according to Prince William County Police.
The dog, described as an adult tan-and-white pit bull/husky mix, was in poor health, officials said. Clinic staff provided immediate care until Animal Control arrived.

A Manassas man is behind bars after police say he broke into a Virginia assisted living facility and raped an elderly woman in her room.
Benjamin Alex Dinarte, 32, was arrested on Friday, June 20, and charged with rape, abduction, object sexual penetration, and burglary, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
The disturbing attack happened just before 7 a.m. at The Fairmont by Barclay House, located on Fairmont Avenue in Manassas.
Police said Dinarte entered the building through an unsecured rear door, then walked into the private room of an 85-year-old resident.
