Wayne Police: Unsteady Drugged Motorist Slams Car Into Mailbox, Shatters Windshield
A Pequannock motorist was under the influence of some type of drug – or drugs – when his car slammed into a mailbox in Wayne, shattering part of his windshield, police said.
Officer Robert Sova found Andrew Treible, 29, “having a hard time standing without support, with slurred speech,” after the 3 p.m. crash Friday at Packanack Lake Road and Newark Pompton Turnpike, Detective Capt. Laurence Martin said.
Treible “admitted ingesting legal prescription drugs,” after which the officer found a vape pen containing THC oil, Martin said.

A woman with a warrant out for her arrest is behind bars after she allegedly used a pry bar to break into a Connecticut business and robbed it, taking elaborate steps to cover up her actions, police said.
Investigators from the Milford Police Department took area resident Lily O’Donnell, 26, into custody on Wednesday, Oct. 3, in regards to an active warrant that was issued for her arrest.

Man Under Influence Attempts To Switch Seats, Greenwich Police Say
A man who was trying to pull off a switch-a-roo so he wouldn't be caught driving under the influence has been charged, according to Greenwich Police.
Scott Hyman, 26, of Bridgeport, was arrested around 4 a.m. Monday after officers watched as he strayed from his lane, nearly hitting the curbs on East Putnam Avenue, the arrest report said.
After pulling the vehicle over in a parking lot, the officer watched as Hyman switched seats with the passenger, the report said.

Man Caught Trying To Enter Vacant Rockland Home, Police Say
A Stony Point man was busted for criminal trespass and possession of pot after police found him, along with another man, attempting to enter a vacant home.
Jeremy T. Garcia, 21, was arrested Tuesday, June 5, after Stony Point police responded to a reported incident of two men attempting to enter a vacant home on Beech Road, said Lt. Daniel Hylas.
The responding officer located the suspects in the rear yard of the home allegedly smoking marijuana, Hylas said.
Following an investigation, Garcia was placed under arrest for attempted criminal trespass and possession of marijuana, police said. …
