A Maryland native and Greencastle local was killed in a crash on Interstate 81, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Thursday, Oct. 31. A Long Island man was killed when his car crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. Donald Butler of Wheatley Heights, died in the crash in Westampton Township on Tuesday, Oct. 15, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson said. A bicyclist avoided serious injuries after being struck by a Mercedes Benz in Paramus Wednesday morning, Aug. 28, police said. The 58-year-old cyclist, originally from Germany, was heading west on Ridgewood Avenue through Paramus Road when he was struck by a 60-year-old woman turning left onto Paramus Road north, Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.
