A Mercedes SUV was stolen in Fairfield County and later recovered in Westchester County after it was left unlocked with a key fob inside, police said. Officers from the New Canaan Police Department were dispatched to a Brinkerhoff Avenue residence at approximately 1:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, where there was a report of a stolen 2021 Mercedes G-Wagon. A driver was hospitalized Tuesday morning after a multi-vehicle collision on southbound Route 17 in Hackensack. The left and center lanes were temporarily closed near the exit for Hasbrouck Heights before the road splits between Routes 17 and 80 around 9:30 a.m. following the crash, which involved a Mercedes driven by the injured female motorist, an Uber driver's Honda and a crane-arm flatbed truck.
