Projected snowfall totals have dramatically increased for a major Nor'easter that will slam the region as the calendar changes from November to December.

During the unofficial last weekend of summer, Connecticut State Troopers are reminding drivers to be smart, drive safe and be prepared for thousands of other vehicles on the roads.
They're also announcing they will be out in force to check for drunk and drugged drivers, as well as aggressive drivers.
To make sure all stay safe, they will begin extra patrols at midnight, Friday, Aug. 30 and continue through 11:59 p.m., Monday, Sept. 2.
