Suspect On Loose After Armed Robbery At Rest Area Businesses On Merritt Parkway Connecticut State Police are on the lookout for two suspects, one a juvenile, who allegedly robbed rest area businesses on the Merritt Parkway at gunpoint. The robbery took place around 8:34 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, on the Merritt Parkway rest area southbound in Fairfield, said the Connecticut State Police. There was gridlock on a stretch of the Merritt Parkway after a crash that took out the left lane for more than a half hour late Friday afternoon.
