35-Year-Old Long Island Man Killed After Being Hit By Car
A 35-year-old man walking in a road on Long Island was killed after being struck by a car, police say.
The incident happened around 5:50 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 in Middle Island, Suffolk County Police said.
Keisha Dalton, 45, of Middle Island, was driving a 2011 Buick Regal northbound on Miller Place-Yaphank Road when her vehicle struck the man, who was walking in the road, police said.
The victim, Timothy Petrulo, of Miller Place, was transported to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson where he was pronounced dead. Dalton was not injured.

A man was indicted for murder in a July 6 fatal shooting during a robbery in an Old Bethpage park.
Brandon Torres, 22, of Staten Island was arraigned Friday, Aug. 2 and charged with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree robbery, according to Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas.
Torres was remanded and is due back in court on Friday, Sept. 6. If convicted of the top count, he faces 25 years to life in prison.

A Long Island felon was found guilty by a federal jury in Central Islip for shooting a man during a violent armed robbery on Middle Island.
