A woman was killed in a head-on crash involving a pickup truck on Route 6 in Orange County, police confirmed.
The crash happened around 5:12 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, in the town of Woodbury, when a Dodge Ram 1500 crossed over the center line and slammed into an oncoming Honda Civic CRX, New York State Police said on Wednesday, May 7.
Investigators say the Dodge Ram, driven by Noely Rafael Vargas, was traveling eastbound when it veered into the westbound lane and hit the Honda head-on.

Bicyclist Dies After Being Hit, Pinned Beneath Vehicle In Area, Police Say
A bicyclist was killed after being struck by and pinned underneath a vehicle in the area.
The incident took place around 8:10 p.m., Tuesday, July 20, when a 57-year-old Albany man, was riding southbound on Washington Avenue, heading toward Schwenk Drive, in Kingston, when he was hit by a vehicle, said authorities.
Responding officers attempted to extricate the man from underneath the vehicle but were unsuccessful, the Kingston Police said.

A 30-year-old woman was killed in a head-on crash on Easter.
The victim, from Wappingers Falls, was killed around 5:54 p.m., Sunday, April 4, during the crash on Route 9 in front of Nine Mall Plaza in the Town of Poughkeepsie, authorities said.
The crash occurred when an 83-year-old Wappingers Falls man was traveling south in the northbound lane of Route 9 and collided head-on with a 2019 Nissan Sentra driven by a 28-year-old man, also of Wappingers Falls, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Captain Joseph Cavaliere.

Father, Son Killed In Hudson Valley House Fire
A man who pushed his daughter to safety was killed, along with his son, after a house fire broke out overnight in the Hudson Valley.
The blaze began around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, July 5 in Ulster County in the Town of Shawangunk on Burnt Meadow Road.
Initial responders discovered a 9-year-old girl outside the home, who had been pushed out a window to safety by her father, later identified as Joseph J. Hull, the Ulster County Sheriff's Office said.
